Attorney Jeffrey Collins
has had the privilege of
sitting in every seat in the courtroom. Prior to becoming a
judge, he was a criminal defense attorney who handled
hundreds of felony cases. Attorney Jeffrey Collins served
as a judge on one of the nations’ busiest criminal courts.
He was named by the Michigan Supreme Court to be the
presiding judge of the criminal division of Wayne County
Circuit Court. He was later elevated to serve on the
Michigan Court Appeals where he issued hundreds of judicial
opinions. In 2001, he left the bench and was named the
United States Attorney for the Eastern District of
Michigan. He supervised an office of over 200 employees,
one of the largest United States Attorney Offices in the
nation. Under his direction, his office prosecuted some of
the largest corporate fraud cases in the country.
In
addition, as the United States Attorney,
he also created a counter-terrorism unit and received
national recognition for establishing community-law
enforcement partnerships.
Serving as the
United States Attorney has given Jeffrey Collins unique
insight into the methodology and mindset used by the
prosecution in the cases he now defends. Jeffrey Collins
has been named Michigan Lawyer of the Year and has been
recognized as a Michigan Super Lawyer.

Lois Collins
 Attorney
Lois Collins sharpened her research and writing skills
serving a fellowship to the Michigan Supreme Court under the
direction of Chief Justice Dorothy Comstock Riley. A
University of Michigan law school graduate, Attorney Lois
Collins has worked for some of Detroit’s finest and most
well established law firms.
She has developed a
vigorous
practice litigating
probate contested
matters, commercial contract
disputes, property insurance litigation, worker’s
compensation defense, copyright
enforcement
and wrongful death
claims.
In addition to
litigation, Attorney Lois
Collins has successfully argued a prisoner civil rights case
before the United States Sixth Circuit of Appeals
and has written and won appeals
before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan
Workers’ Compensation Appellate Commission.
